do a compression test to make sure everything is ok. Correct me if im wrong (i have an S13) but your car has 9:1 compression which is ok for turbo, but you can get like 8.5:1 pistons, and/or thicker head gasket. if you have the extra money, you could rebuild it from the bottom up, depending on how much boost you want to run.

Basically just make sure your motor is running fine without turbo, before you add turbo, make sense?

my $0.02

Need more details - You looking for all out power?

You want 250rwhp???

How much is your budget?

And ALL of the KA24DEs in the S13 and S14 have 9.5:1 static compression...which will be fine if you tune it right.

Later - Brian

sorry, i wasnt for sure on the compression of the DE since i dont own one. If you really want to save money you can go the junkyard route volvo intercooler, 300zx T3, muffler shop IC piping, etc...

the IAP kit is a very complete kit it has everything youd need minus some fuel stuff like ECU or SAFC, injectors, pump. but no matter what you do, youre gonna spend a few Gs unless you go junkyard.

I may end up buying a kit, or just buying some parts from places that sell kits, and getting other parts cheaper elsewhere.

300 rwhp? if thats ur goal ur looking at jwt ecu retune, stand alone, or hacked MAF because the stock MAF will max out around 240-250. thats my biggest consern when people post on here for the first time and want to make major power of kits and a SAFC

i think im going to go with a kit, but which one is the best, i was looking at the XS, the nsport, the new greddy and the IAP kit, but i noticed the fuel system was better on the greddy, and i can get a FMIC for pretty cheap. but for the money which is the best kit.

If you want that much hp I would suggest getting forged pistons an some good rings. Youll definatly need a different maf personally im goin with a z32 an Safc 2, others are usin cobra maf an jwt ecu. Its up to you an how much money your willing to put out.
