Go in the KA-T forum. It's under the 240sx section...

(On that note, I must say I miss the old layout/organization of the old forums... especially with all the hybrids running around)

89-90 = sohc

You left out injectors/fuel system upgrades...you plan on doing anything with those?

edit: And make sure you don't get boost happy...especially on a KA's stock internals...better? (Ya'll get so offensive!)

I've heard 12 psi is a good limit...

Well for one thing, the Compression is a little lower, so that is always going to help with turboing a car. And I believe the head is designed a little different.

brit, every side has their cult.

Now i dont wanna sound like a jerk, this is just fyi that you may or may not know. But if you don't have the big front mount paintballpro69 your going to have to stay down on the boost a bit (no more than about 10psi or your asking for trouble). Also a side note, the stock fuel pump isn't going to support over 8psi (if your lucky) so please don't try it or your going to end up with melted pistons. Upgrade to the Z32TT, Skyline, or Walbro as one of your first mods. For 1 bar of boost it is required that you upgrade the fuel pump to a 190/255Lph Walbro or a 300Z TT Fuel Pump. The 300Z Fuel Filter also is a very good and cheap mod. Keep in mind you dont absolutely need a 255Lph fuel pump ... it supports 490 hp. You can save 20 bucks and get a 190Lph fuel pump that supports 425 hp. Oh and as for the clutch, the stocker wont handle the upped boost very well. Its advised you upgrade to a good aftermarket upgraded clutch.

240SX KA is a 240SX KA. One cam vs two. Oh noes.

I prefer the DE because its what I have experience in.

the e has all iron block, same forged rods, and a lower compression ratio than that of the de.

a boost gauge is essential from now on. This is to ensure you are running the correct boost. Other gauges include EGT, Water Temp, Oil Temp/Pressure, etc. Those are nice to have but arent 100% necessary until you upgrade the turbo. Before the boost wasnt really enough to justify a turbo timer because a simple 20-40 seconds of idling before you turn off the car would suffice. Now that you are pushing the turbine to its effective limit you will need to always remember to let it cool to avoid oil coking and bearing damage. The easiest way to do this is to have a turbo timer installed. It allows the car to run with the key out of the ignition for a set time.

check with http://www.brmexhaust.com/ for manifold
