Why is the sr20de so popular? I have plans to build up my ka24e(yes the single cam motor) and not swap to an sr20de(t). I love the ka motors and mine has served me well although it seems high maintenence at the moment, but thats just because of the way i drive it,ha. My little stock single cam has taken six's, civics, modified del sols, comaro's and even a 5.0 liter mustang (off the line, until he sprayed a 200shot of nitrous to pass me). I know the ka's shut off at 114 mph but im sure thers a way to rid of the limiter. So some one tell me why every 240 enthusiast want to swap to an sr20det? IF you want to look at my 240sx feel free to visit my website. http://www.unnaturalconcepts.bravehost.com

slow down sparky!!!If you look to the top right there is a button that says SEARCH use it.Now with that said its about 50 50 with the sr20 to kae(de)t guys on here. Alot of non Nissan people assume 240sx means sr20. You know what they say about *** u me lol .We have an entire forum for kat and sr and darn near any other NISSAN you like. I personaly love the sohc ka in my 90 and dont think I will ever go sr but ka t is just as pricey and the parts are harder to find. So its, be jdm or search all day, in most cases its easier to get a front clip from japan ,so all the hard stuff is taken out and you just swap the eng./trans. some do it for the higher rev limit. On the ka side we like the hard work finding and making things custom (low ka24e support). That speed limiter is simple swap out ecu from auto same year,I'll let you know in a day or so from doing it with a stanza auto ecu. Had some short or something that it would not rev past 2500rpm but thats all better now. Sorry so long but good luck with the ka-t and your club.

Get rid of the wing and stickers before you do anything. Your car says 240SX on it enough from the factory, you dont need more stickers that say it.

i can understand the stickers but i love the wing, i have yet to see another 240sx with it. I thought it would be cool to add the s14 emblem on there, jus to confuse the non-nissan folks.

I encourage you to do whatever floats your boat, but when I see a misbadged car I usually tend to laugh at it rather than become confused.

the ecu feels stronger and it does have a rev limiter at 6750rpm or something. My old 240sx 5spd ecu didn't have a rev limiter for some reason it would rev to 7k+ when need be. you arent tuff on your car like me lol seriously I DOG that ***** and she loves it, when I frive soft the car is WTF but when I give it to her ,shes like smack that *** baby HAHAHA!!!!!!!

dont bump the comp. up too much with that head shave, unless your going to stay N/A.another nod to the nissan gods... When I replaced my HG thats about all I replaced and the rest of the head to int/ext and rad fluid. removed all emissions on the head. all this with 1 1/2 year old sitting oil gas.It was great she awoke like she had been drove everyday. I didn't even get the head or block resurfaced after massive overheating the year prior. Not recomending but damn Nissan is tough as titanium
