Hey guys, I'm planning on doing a turbo on a ka24de. It has 140k on it. I am going to check compression on all cylinders before I do anything. I have to say this is the first time I messed around with a KA. I have had 3 240's with sr in all of them. I am looking for around 250whp daily driver. What would you guys recommend as for turbo, fuel, and air?

I would also like to take off the head and clean everything out (Machine shop). Mainly for a new hg.

Yeah, i have been reading a lot. I just wanted to see what people would recommend for 250ish wheel. Turbo, etc.. I have a t25 laying around in the garage so I thought I would throw that on. I also have the stock injectors from my sr. Got the aem wideband, and the apexi safc for tuning.

yea start with the t25 if its you first time boosting start lil and learn alot. same thing applies to the bigger turbos that you learn on the little one. simply more air more fuel and the right mixture and timing your motor will love you.

if you see my post with my track times. its worth it man.

If you use that little *** turbo I'll Ban you Just kidding of course. But seriously, the T25 sucks...it sucks for the SR let alone a 2.4 stroker. Nothing smaller then a T3 super 60 should go near a KA. A T3/TO4 is the way to go. With a .48 AR there is no lag and they are still good for a decent amount of WHP. Not to mention, if you get a mani with a T25 flange, you can never upgrade, unless you buy a new many as well. So get somthing that worked with a T3 and start there. 370's and a SAFC are proven to get you a fun ride.

I have some 650cc injectors laying in the garage. Would those be too big for the safc?

Gettin there, they'll probably be pretty rich at idle, even with the fuel pressure turned down.

i you should start with a small T3 rather....that way down the road you do not have to replace the turbo manifold if you go bigger T3 turbo for more power.....if you want just do the basic....you should atlesat upgrade the injectors. if you want more of the safeside bump up with a set of aftermarket pistons, mate with the stock rods.

Just to add if anyone cares - a T3 can be upgraded with a T04E compressor for about $200.

I did mine for 150 bux. You have to change the compressor housing, wheel, and backing place. I can set you up with a guy if you cannot find one. I just went ahead and got mine coated and the assembly balanced. Faster spool = dead Nick. But at least I will die with a grin.

Yeah, there's one in Joplin, MO. So Miami ought to have one for sure.
