I have a 2012 spec v and was thinking about installing a turbo. My question is what is the boost limit before I have to internally modify the engine, I would prefer to keep everything stock. :couch

Your QR will handle 8-12psi safely, tuned of course.

Treadstone makes a really nice kit for the B16.

The only real issue is... being addicted to boost. Because once you start it's hard to stop from turning up that boost.

8-9psi is safe as long as you have large enough injectors and a good tune. You will need larger than 440's for 8psi or higher or they will max out before redline, and uprev is more than worth the money to tune. Going over 10psi on the b16 with stock internals is really pushing it without meth or e85. However one person ran 18psi on stock motor with meth and e85. It blew up after a few runs down the 1/4 though :)

Long story short 8-9psi ok running 93+ octane gas on stock motor. Any high and you will need extras. That will put you at over 300whp tho.

Thats the plan, thanks for the info, as soon as the income check comes in I'll start getting some goodies.
I'll be keeping stock internals and if it's possible +/- 300 I'll be happy.

You can easily do 300 on stock internals, safely :)

Like mentioned before, you should have no problems.

I would even venture to say, the b16 specv could handle more than 10psi stock internals. The b16 internals are far superior to the b15's, and many b15's DD at 9,10psi. 10psi is defiantly safe though, and should last you a long time.

If you want more specific b16 information about modding, along with a group of knowledgeable b16 owners, allsentra.com is definitely the place to look.
