turbocharger basics?

hey.. im new to turbocharging and whatnot..but iwas wondering, whats the big differences between those t3/t4 turbos and other gt**** and any other turbos?

if anyone has a explanation.. i would love to hear about it

also whats the a.r and the other things that they say when your buying a turbo?

theyre just different names for different turbos. The GT series is newer technology, the T3 and T4's have been around for a while. THe A/R describes the housings (compressor or turbine housing) and trim describes the wheels.Check out howstuffworks.com or read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. They have much better explanations...
