I believe you stack them up inside the BOV, the more washers the less travel of the piston and vise versa. So I guess more washers=quieter BOV or it will take more air pressure for it to blow-off. Either way the XS H-RFl is just more of a noise maker than anything. I believe anything more than 19 psi and it starts to leak. (heard about this on twinturbo.net, when I had my TT Z.) I'd just go with the HKS SSQ or GReddy BOV, better product and more functional than just a noise maker.

I hope I didnt offend anyone that owns an XS-RFL

lol u guys..hahahaha

tha washers purpose is just like tha purpose of tha screws on tha greddy and hks...they tighten tha seal for higher boost levelsu put them on tha bottom of tha brass piston to put most tension on tha spring...so if it leaks just unscrew tha top(becareful of spring)and drop one or two of em at a time until it seals......Nismo_180sx....i have a lot of friends who run this BOV its a great bov for the price u cant beat it..not to mention RFL -REAL-****IN-LOUD

ive never had a problem with the rfl, or the h34. it has held to many 30+ psi pressure tests, and lots of boosting. i mounted mine on the provide sleeve, but worried about it leaking there, so i just used a small section of hose to connect it.

I just bought an alum tube that fits inside the BOV, and cut it then took it to somewhere that did Alum welding. No leaks so far.
