I would run the water if you can... It cools the turbo soo much better and will make it last a lot longer.

Also the design of the turbo is made to have water pull the heat from the oil... If you have no water its most likely going to work worse then a normal turbo.

cools the turbo while heating the water...a lot. i'd say without. i doubt you paid a fortune for the turbo anyways

i have the same turbo in my garage, its in great condition, but its just way too small, even though i have the avalibility to reflange my manifold and downpipe when ever i want to accompany a different turbo, its just too much work.

im gonna try to find a t3\t04b and be done with it.

really try to run coolant and water, i mean those coolant ports are there for a reason, maybe the center section was designed to use coolant and oil, and not just oil.

plug up the holes and call it a day. ur asking for one more thing to worry about. tapping into the coolant system isnt hard and a silver moss ka-t has done it on http://www.ka-t.org

search that site for his write up. I personally had coolant ports on my turbo and plugged em up. Been running nice for the past couple of months.............
