Try searching for some help. The turbo you need depends upon your ultimate goals and/or needs. On a stock bottom end (crank, pistons, etc.), Enjuku racing put out 540 whp on an SR. The stock Headgasket is only good to about 15 psi IIRC. Searching will yield a plethora of info for you to digest. If you are asking this kind of question though, I suggest you do tons of research, then come ask questions on the forums, then do more research, to make wise decisions about what you want/need.

Figure out what you will be using your car for and pick a Horse power number based on your cash flow. I think the Magic number would be 400WHP That would be a close horse-power to waight ratio of a Ferrari F430 BUT you must be able to handle a car with that much power! If you just came from a 80 Fwhp honda civic, Learn how to handle the RWD beast that is the Nissan 240sx with the stock sr20det first!Always upgrade the Tires , suspension , breaks and steering before power upgrades!

550cc injectors will be @ 95% duty cycle (not good) with 400 flywheel HP! Thats about 365 whp. You can take them to 400whp MAX on c16 race gas but even that is pushing it past 95 % duty cycle I would not take 550cc past 330-350whp on pump gas myself.

The cheapest common one is the S15 turbo. Which can put you up to about 300 whp, with supporting mods ofcourse. The GT2871R is also a very popular one like mentioned above. If I didn't already have my GT2530, that's the turbo I'd get. Have a horsepower goal and then choose the right size turbo.

well said, this is a common question on the thread but my suggestion is more fundemental.

when I took my s13 to the track with a stock t25 and some tein coil overs, the car opened up and felt so damn fast. After that experience i didnt crave a bigger turbo, what I wanted was more track time.

once you've fully appreciated you're cars true potential, you'll have definite knowledge of how to improve your car and how you want it to drive.
