you could look into the gt-rs turbo from hks.very expensive, but mounts like the factory yurbo, and reatains all stock lines and charge pipes.can produce up to 400hp.

The GTRS is also available directly from Garrett, just not called a GTRS. It was a signature HKS turbocharger for a while, but they finally decided to make it available to the public under the Garrett name. The HKS GTRS has a 52 trim wheel. The standard 2871R's had a 48 or 56 trim wheel. Now you can buy a 2871r with the 52 trim wheel. All of the specs are identical. Here is the part number:

I sell the same turbo:

It's available in an .64 or .86 housing. If you want to drag, go .86. If your only looking for 340whp, it would be easily attainable even with the .64. Mods, I'm not a sponsor, so I apologize for the advertising.

I have that same turbo... GT2871R with T28 style compressor housing. Same thing as HKS GT-RS without the HKS tag and the price...

I have the .64 a/r and this turbo is awesome. Lag time is almost equivalent to T-25 (maybe a bit more) but as soon as the turbo starts to kick in... it feels like the car is on a rocket sled.

I bought mine form HybryDynamics with HKS actuator.

BTW, it's not a complete bolt on if you have a S13 engine. S14 however, is a different story.

For S13, you will need to modify the oil dran flange, compressor inlet & outlet pipe or you can modify your hotpipe. You also need to clock the turbo like T-25 and bend some lines if you want to use the factory line.

How do you like it? Any dyno numbers? I've been thinking of upgrading to this turbo on my S14 SR.

I like it.

So far, I have not been able to boost more than about 14 lbs due to some problem with vacuum routing to the boost controller but even then the car feels alot faster than before.

With the T25, it sort of flattened out at high RPM but with this turbo, it's like endless acceleration all the way to the redline. I have a greddy intake mani so maybe that helps a bit too.

I can't wait to get this turbo to 18 psi...

17.5psi by 4200RPM.

people get so fussy about spool times. its retarded. how much time do you spend under 4000RPM anyway?

Ilike, what boost controller are you using? I may be able to help solve your issue.

I actually think I know what's wrong with it. The HKS actuator is right now set at the lowest possible setting... Around 10 PSI. My Hallman Boost Controller is only for 5~6 psi over stock so I need to make the rod on the actuator shorter and bump up the base boost to about 15 psi then play around with the MBC to get 18 psi...

I have the MBC clocked all the way in and Im boosting 15 psi so I need to shorten the rod length of the actuator.

2871R .64 and i hit 18psi by 3800rpm. 4k+ rpm is like instant spool with these things. Definitly making close to the 350whp area too. I wouldnt mind a laggier turbo. Next choice is top mount GT30R .63.
