Your going to want to replace your entire turbo.

At what RPM do you want peak horsepower?

3500rpm would be nice what do you think!

that would be nice for peak torque too low for peak HP.

sylvia spec SR20DETs all have peak HP at 6000 and peak torque at 4000 in stock config (even the S15s).

on an upgraded turbo expect both those RPM figures to climb especially in the 300+hp range. of cousre the SR can handle it to a point

I'm thinking about that. Even though it's for DSM's, they do it for SR20's too.

bud do you know if its the same price for the sr20 t25? That looks like a really good deal, and no one would expect 20 pounds of boost, from what appears to be a t25. Would make the car run 12's for sure. :)

Heavy Throttle sells DSpeed turbo kits with turbo and manifold for $1800. Not sure what size turbo it is but its rated at 325hp and its bb. Sounds like what you want. Probably good beause its the only turbo upgrade HT sells and DSpeed is good stuff (they only make parts for Silvias). Give them a call and ask about the turbo. That way you can tell me. If you get it, I can decide whether I want it or not.

that sounds like a good deal, but it would be really nice to have a bottom mounted turbo that is capable of 20 psi and looks like a stock t25. No one would think it would be as quick as it is with such a small turbo and no bottle. Sr swap is my prject this winter. Next winter i will do turbo and fuel stuff i am hoping.

bp2000: That's the thing, the Dspeed kit IS bolt up to factory position. The manifold is only for better flow. What you are describing for top mount is the Enjuku t3/04 kit exactly. It is $2800. BTW I am on the exact plan as you, June is SR swap. Next Spring maybe turbo upgrade.

wow that kits sounds really nice. I wonder how all the welds are on the manifold. Anyways i wish heavy throttle updated there site more, and had more info and prices on sr stuff. If you end up getting it, or have pictures or anything let me know.

wow, thats funny, right after i posted that i check out heavy throttle's website and its updated. First time in like a year i think. O well there still cool as hell.

it appears that you would send them the turbo. They would use the stock t25 hosuing, but build it to a monster bb t28 in t25 housing. everything would bolt up, and on the car they are using it on they are running 21 psi. It makes full boost at a little over 3000 rpms. sounds like a hell of a deal. I think im going to do that, injectors, and do something for a fuel controller next winter, and ill be 12's for sure.

Heavy throttle did a dyno on a t25/t3 hybrid they did. Pretty much upgraded stock t25, and at 20 psi it put down 300 hp, and 320 torque, On 93 octane. They are pretty sure the car will be mid-low 12's. here is the linkhttp://www.srswap.com/html/gal...s.htm

That Heavy Throttle car is poo. The fact that they used a 1.8mm metal head gasket at those power levels makes me go->

Yeah, their site was real weak for awhile. So we still don't know what kind of turbo is on that Dspeed kit? I will try to find out.
