why is everything below the headgasket golding you back. I was always informed that boost and pressure doesnt harm the motor its how much power your making. And if the stock bottom end is good up to 500-600 whp then u need about 5 more lbs of boost.

what are 850cc injectors good up till??

I've "heard" that the stock headgasket is reliable up to 20psi. I'm running 22psi right now.

I've also heard that the stock ring lands on the pistons are weak too, and not recommended for +20psi.

I don't have any proof to back this up, but I'm just playing it somewhat safe. I don't mind risking 22psi, but 27 I wouldn't feel comfortable doing right now.

Plus, how much boost can those stock head bolts take before they stretch? I'm not sure, but don't really want to find out the hard way either.

Its not the gasket itself, it is the head bolts that stretch allowing the HG to blow. ARP studs ftw. Now if you plan for 30 plus... I'd go with a metal gasket.

Thats it!!!! replacing the head studs and gasket and your good to go??? learn something new everyday. What about upgrading the manifold. I dont see that many RB's with aftermarket manifolds.
