Hello all, Just wanted to see if anyone here has done a turbo upgrade on their RB20's to the rb25 and if so what are your impressions? Im considering the upgrade from a person that is selling theirs for $150. The turbo has been rebuilt with a steel compressor wheel to replace the stock plastic one.

you sure it was rebuilt with steel?

i took mine in to try and get it replaced and they didnt have any luck finding a replacement blade.

but if it was id say it be a real good upgrade. all of it should bolt right up. and if its steel, then u can push past 1bar later on when the rest of your car is ready.

good for about 300hp, very little drop in response, good first upgrade turbo. Get a stainless tubular outlet to replace the cast iron one as well, the response will blow your mind.

sounds interesting. are you saying just steel, or actually making a bigger one?

a tubular outlet will make the turbo respond phenominally compared to stock. To illustrate, the first time I jumped on the go-pedal with the gator pipe on I almost went full bore into the back of the car 30-feet in front of me.
