your just joking right?

you bought a turbo and you don’t know anything about it...I don’t want to look rude, but whata hell?

do you have the manifold and all other parts?

I’m just startled by all this…

Back to your question, the .58 is the size of your exhaust turbine…

yes that turbo will be perfect for the KA24DE.

Wrong. The A/R is not the size of the turbo. It refers to the size of the nozzle. A/R actually means Area/Radius. The area of the nozzle divided by the radius. In practice, it's usually the area that changes. But theoretically, as long as the ratio is the same though, the velocity at a given flow rate stays the same.

The size of the turbo is largely dictated by the name(Garrett turbos). T04B refers to the compressor. All T04B's have the same compressor major diameter. The Minor diameter is what changes the trim. Measure the minor diamter and you'll be able to determine the size against Garrett's/Turbonetic's catalog. The turbine is also measured in the same fashion, the specific size of the turbine is usually left out. And Garrett also does not necessarily use the same major diameter within the same turbine family as they for the most part do with the compressors. If you have a T4 turbine housing though, you likely have a 2.922" major diameter.

As far as this being the perfect turbo, it depends. Depends a lot in fact on how much boost you will be running. The T04B will be good enough to handle a broad range, but it may start to suffer in higher boost levels. Upwards of 10 psi, I'd be looking into the T04E compressors.

Checkered, before you start being "startled" by others, please take a step back and actually learn what you are talking about before posting it up here. If you are wrong, you are wrong. I have no problem with that. But if you slam a guy for not knowing anything about a turbo and then post poor information yourself, you're being a hypocrite. Perhaps if you just answered the question, you wouldn't look so bad.

im going to run 7psi on a ka24de with stock internals and was just wondering how this turbo will do at 7psi since it is a larger turbo than most people use on a ka24de egine ,most ive seen use the t3/t4 hybrid instead of a full t04 turbo.

that might be a little big and you might have a hard time keeping your boost down that low. I have a SC-54 which is a 60 trim turbo from PTE and right now im running on stock external wastegate boost setting. (6psi) but at the top of the gear under load i get boost creep up to 8psi, its not really a bad thing, but you might want a smaller turbo if 7psi is all your going for. I would also check out the map of the turbo, if your only going to be running 7psi you may be way out of the efficency range of that thing. Its not the worst, but a different turbo could make your car spool faster making it quicker for what you are looking for.

i just took a peek at the compressor map for your turbo mean green, and it's too big. if that's all you have to work with, then stick with low boost and you'll be ok. i hope lag isn't a problem for you, cause you will definitely have it.

the best way to pick a turbocharger is just as c-kwik mentioned. determine how much boost you want to run first, and then go shopping.

There are 3 T04B compressors. Look through the compressor inlet. Measure the diameter of the blades you can see. Once you post this, we can figure out which T04B you have and then point you to the right map.
