My brother is running a S14 T28 turbo on his CA. He still has factory injectors, mafs, and smic. His car has been running really good until recent. It now spudders and acts like it has a miss. The coils are good and he's running NGK Copper plugs. They check out good also. My question is: is the MAF or the injectors too small for this turbo? I wouldn't think so. He's running a APEXi SAFC-II and Atoms BOV. Could it possibly be the maf is really dirty or is going bad? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Josh Edwards

PS He's only running factory 7psi boost.

at 7psi, he should be ok. But anything more than that and no, its not good enough. I would look into a faulty ignitor. And why is he running a SAFC with the stock fuel and maf? That motor needs all the fuel it can get with the stock stuff.

He's also running a Walbro. He's running the SAFC, because without it the car would die anytime he'd blow-off. He's running a Sheepdog Prof Atomspheric BOV. Can we check the amp or voltage going in or out of the ignitor to see if its the problem? Thanks again.

The car will hold up to 7 lbs. but cut in & out like there is a vacumm leak. I'l clean the MAF once more, and I'll be installing a FMIC KIT very soon. That'll take out some of the guess work w/ brand new piping and couplings. Thanks!
