Hi guys, I want to install a turbo timer on my 300zx turbo 1996.

If I install one, is the alarm system work anyway?

What model should I install to have a simple installation and good efficiency?

Thanks for help!

please don't, these things tend to cause mroe problems than they solve, if you spend time on track ro driving aggressively just be sure the car gets a chance to cool down before shutting off

OK...So how much time should I wait to let cool the engine? Or how I know if the engines cooled enough?

2-3 minutes of non-boosting driving.

I like the turbo timer because you can remove the key to run into a convenience store or something and leave the car running. Might reinstall mine at some point.

I would rarely use it as a timer for cool down though, because the vibrations from the engine and exhaust would set off my Clifford alarm.

@BigTDogg To caveat, some alarms have built in turbo timer settings.

I'm running the AutoPage RS-915 and the turbo timer feature can be configured right from the LCD remote.

It saved me from finding another place to install another cockpit gadget.
