I have the apex unit. It works fine.

I used the HKS harness. Install was a breeze.

just get whatever turbo timer you want and get the harness...unbolt under your dash...plug the harness in..it only fits one plug..cant go wrong...after that..hide you wires and you're good to go. Seirusly took maybe 20 minutes?

I spliced mine in with no problems.

What do you mean by trouble getting the key out? Turbo Timer wont effect how the key comes out.

I chose the GReddy TT and was told that all the turbo timers are compatable with the HKS harness excet for mine...go figure. I wired it all in myself and even hooked the wires up for the speed, ebrake, etc. myself. It was a breeze unless your afraid of wires.

So the car wont release the key? or the engine turns off if you remove it? I dont see how the car could hold your key in....

Also about hard wiring it. Its very very easy and not worth the money for the HKS thing unless you hate wiring.

well on my FB I used the White/Red Wire is the 12V Power, Acc. is the Blue Wire, and the Black/White is the ignition wire. You can use a wire tester to find your hot wires. Find your 12V before you turn the key on. Then with the Key on you can find the Accessory and Ignition wire.

I know what you're talking about - you have to push the button in on the ignition of the s13's to get the key out; however, when the turbo timer keeps the car on you can't take the key out. You'll have to take the steering column cover off and unplug the harness for that little safety switch -- everything should work fine after that.

Hey, what exactly would qualify a turbo timer as a security device, and in what case does it allow for a insurance deduction? cuz I saw some basics on it at a website, but I'm trying to figure out what feature exactly allows it to help secure your car.
