I have an automatic Greddy turbo Timer and am having some problems with it.

First off i jumpstarted my car about 2 months ago and since then my timer hasnt worked. There was no power at all on the timer.

Then yesterday i had my friend Seth (Buzzfast on 300zxclub.com) mess around with it and he got the timer to start working again.

So now the timer has power and still has all the programming set to what i had it before.

Although now when i turn the key in the OFF position the car will just turn off instead of the timer counting down.any idea on how to fix it?thnx

Oh and also to prevent the timer from dying out again if i ever have to jumpstart my car I was told that I needed to install an In line fuse. But i need to know how much amp to run for this timer. I was told buy a friend that the greddy timer probably needed 20amp... what do u guys think?

my turbo timer doesn't work either . former owner said he thinks it's because of a loose wire to the neutral safety switch or something? haha. it's not a priority. my z has many other problems that showed up that need to be fixed before that.

Hey...I just did this yesterday -- jump started my car and fried my Greddy turbo timer.

It's weird because I've had it installed for about a year and have had to jump start a few times. I just don't drive my 240 very often.

Anyway I called Greddy tech support and I told them that I turned on my car and my turbo timer started smoking. His first question was, "Did you jump start your car?"

He recommended that I call an authorized Greddy dealer and tell them that my turbo timer just stopped working, not that I fried it. Maybe they'd be able to do something about it.

I would just put an line fuse portion that lets you swap out different types of fuses. Start off with a 30amp and go down from there.

BTW - did you purchase the additional harness with the turbo timer to make instillation easier? Just curious.

turbo times seem to cause mroe harm that good, I personally don't run one and will never, and I haven't destroyed any turbo's either, and for the cost of these things your half way to a new turbo
