Anyone ever installed or heard of anyone installing a turbo timer on their push button start?

I took readings at all the wires that connect to the ignition button, but none of them seem to actually control the start/stop, they just send the signal to another module that does it. This is what I came up with at the ignition button.Voltage readings are in the order of, OFF, ACC, ON, and START for each wire. Brown- 12V,12V,12V,13V; Red- 12V,.5V,.5V,.5V; Yellow/Blue- 12V, .1V,.5V,.5V; Turquoise- 12V,12V,0V,0V; Green/Yellow- 12V,12V,12V,12V; Black - GROUND; Orange/White-.1V,.1V,.1V,.1V; White- .6V,.6V,.6V,.6V

They all have constant power in the OFF position, except the last 2 which I believe are used for the light bulbs interior of the switch. Not at all like a normal key switches wires. If anyone knows anything, let me know. Thanks

Why not use the wire to an accessory like the radio?

The ACC wire isn't the problem. Its the On/Off diversion that has to occur. Pretty much what happens is, when you turn off the car the signal of "OFF" is transfered to the turbo timer. The timer catches it and begins a countdown. When the countdown is complete, it will then route the original off signal to the ECU and shut off the car. Its meant to let a cars turbo system cool down after its been run, to keep it from warping.

great topic adidas. been away from nico for a couple days and this is only one of two newly made and interesting threads.

I'll ask the artisan guys and see if they have any input on it.

Have you checked the "STR" section of the Service manual?? I believe the diagrams in there would give you a good clue of where you need to tie in to intercept the signal. http://www.aubreyandcharles.co...7.zip

Ive torn that manual apart. I can find the schematic that actually breaks breaks down the Constant, ACC, and ON wires from the start switch to where ever
