I installed a HKS Type-1 TT. I routed everything in as it said. I hooked the RPM wire into the right place in the ECU (according to PLX) and it read RPM fine on the unit. Then I hooked the speed line into what was apparently the Vehicle Speed Sensor... #32, which was a yellow with green stripe wire, I believe, and with gray dots. I reinstalled the cluster, and the unit wasn't reading speed, nor was the cluster. I removed everything and taped the wire back up. It still didn't read.

I'm afraid I may have bumped some circuits on the back of the cluster and damaged the speedo, or something to do with taping into the speed sensor wire on the ECU. It does appear to have 2 white scratches pretty close to the speedo on the backside of the cluster. FYI, it's a USDM turbo timer and a JDM gauge cluster.

Any ideas?

Oh, and by the way, this isn't digital, and I highly doubt it's the speed sensor on the transmission, or what not. It was working absolutely mint before I removed the cluster and tried to wire the TT wire into the apparently correct ECU wire.

Double check the connection--Do you solder connections?

I used a harness to connect the timer to the key switch. Then I soldered the RPM wire in, and soldered the parking break wire in. I did not solder the speed wire into the ecu, because I wasn't sure if it was the correct wire.

Removed the cluster, reconnected everything, and screwed it back in. Still no go.

Does the column being dropped have anything to do with it? I mean, is there some kind of funky ground on one of the column bolts? It's not hanging completely down. I don't think any wires were stretched because of it being lowered. However, I think it's possible I could have stretched something with the harness that plugs into the back of the cluster, but that's unlikely.

I'm totally out of ideas and going crazy thinking about this.
