anyone know if a gimped ignition cyclinder cause me to lose power to the iginition once i begin to switch the car off from ignition to acc? ive installed a blitz timer using a pnp harness and the timer is only keeping the acc on when the car is fully shut off. something is causing ignition wire to lose power once i turn the key from ign to acc but starts receiving power again once the key is turned from acc to off and pulled out of the ignition. this delay is causing the timer to to only see power on the acc wire and not both ign and acc therefore causing the timer only to keep the acc on when the car is totally off and not both ign and acc. anyone have any suggestions?

It's probably the timer. Make sure your PNP harness is supplying 12v to the black/red wire. That's the ignition switch's 'on' circuit.

Also, if this is on a swapped car, it's possible the timer can't cope with the voltage drop of the typical hacks for running the ignition system. Most swaps tap the ignition system from the black red at the Chassis -> EFI harness plugs by the battery. JDM factory setup puts the ignition system on a relay to take the load off the ignition switch's 'on' circuit. The ignition switch is stout enough to handle the current requirements, but it's possible the timer isn't as stout.

More than likely though, something just isn't plugged in properly.

its still the stock motor just rebuilt using an aem version2 ecu. i dont think its the timer itself since this is the second one thats doing this. i had an innovation timer at first. ill check to see if the pnp harness is supplying power to the right wire
