hey, im new here, but i have pretty simple question about turbos that nobody seems to answer or want to answer, my question is: i have a sr20 black top with a gt2871r, its set at 10 psi, and i have a to4e that im going to set at 10psi that im getting ready to install. now i used to think that 10psi was simply 10psi, but now im figuring out thats not the case, the to4 will put out more power at 10psi than the gt23 will at 10psi, but why? if somone can pleas answer this for me or point me in the direction! THANX!!!

I dont know alot about turbos just a bit but i think this might have something to do with the size of the turbos.Do you know if the to4 is bigger? If it is bigger than its just the fact that a bigger turbo at lower boost will work better than a smaller turbo at higher boost. So even though they are at the same amount of boost if the to4 is bigger, 10psi would be at a lower level boost for its psi range and it would operate more efficiently.Thats just what i have pieces together from the bits of info i picked up on turbos. If thats infact not whats going on im sorry but hey its the only reply anyone has been willing to give you

its the size spec of the turbo (like turbine wheel etc). search around the net and it talks about the efficiency range. dunno about t04 turbo itll be very laggy but if its t3/t4 itll be a different story. it also matters on the size of the engine your putting it to and compression
