Alright sooo recently purchased my Versa and ive been driving it and I feel its alittle underpowered. Well as the story goes I also own a 2010 Gencoupe which I plan too do do a full tubro swap for. But my question for you today is other then the Manifold what other parts would I need too purchase in order too do the stock Gencoupe turbo swap on the 1.8 Versa. Also im not looking for this too be a monster, just a 1.8 with alittle more power with a Low preasure turbo.

Parts I have
Intercooler
Turbo W/ BOV
Piping

Parts I need
Exhaust Manifold
?

I'd recommend getting the following:
Small battery + relocation kit
Oil feed lines, catch can
Stage 2 clutch if possible
Manifold, downpipe, cat-back exhaust.
Turbo timer, boost gauge to keep track of it.
You'll need a new ECU something even like Apexi Neo will do the trick.
Get it dyno-tuned with the ECU to a boost of about 8psi and you should be good :]

My 1.6 is getting turbo'd in August :P

On an unrelated note, amarmasic did you have any idling problems when you put on your cai or did your SES come on?

Actually no problems at all for a long time, and none right now. But for this little period of time the sensor was saying that it was too lean. But I had it checked out its just the ECU screwin around it fixes itself after a little while. What you're probably experiencing is a small drop in rpm at idle and the check engine light coming on when that happens. It's no problem it'll sort itself out :]

Heh yeah that's true, it'll pick up soon enough just like the Fit and Yaris did. There's already fairly good body kits and performance parts out there, just not the easiest things to find hehe. But hopefully some people will look at the turbo kits and maybe want their own that way maybe someone will make a bolt-on kit if enough people are looking for it.

Ready to do turbo tuning on the Versa. We already got the tuning software running fine on a few Versa NA vehicles including the CVT. So who wants to turbo it, lets go.

What are the gains observed on your tuning ? I didn't see anything on your uprev.com website. And is there anything as such as plug and flash or I have absolutely bring my car to an "authorized dealer" ? If that's the case, I will be looking for other solution.

I think you are wasting your time going small turbo. Same effort doing small or med sized turbo.

You will need to look into fuel... so a 255l walbro in-tank will be a must. Injectors most likely will need to be done. PF regulator also. .

Exhaust and intake piping will need to be custom, not imposable by any means, just lots of good pre-planning here. Along with a solid WG and DV valves.

Inter-cooler will be needed. Pipe routing and mounting will also take some effort.

The largest hurdle will be Tuning. You will need a MAP(to log boost) and a WideBand 02(also for logging) at a minimum for tuning. I would also not trust just any tuner.... also you should monitor all this on your own. Boost leaks, fuel changes, and temp all play a huge roll in this. The Apexi Neo is quite limited for adjustments and tables. If they made an AEM EMS system for this car that would be my choice.

Mini Battery and Turbo timer are not needed IMO.

I would not waste $$ and time on the Versa chassis.... I would look for a turbo car to start with, and one that can be tuned much easier.

A turbo timer is just a little luxury so you let the turbo cool properly, easy way to avoid some big problems. Also a mini battery would be pretty important in the Versa as the engine bay is cramped. In Brian Fox's turbo he pointed out to me that he has no cold air intake if you look at it, he's just sucking in air and dirt. If you want to keep your intake you'll need to relocate the batter and make sure that you do the piping real well.
Not too hard to make this car run turbo, talk to Brian he's got an e-mail and a facebook, real friendly guy if anyone is interested in getting help with the turbo he's your man.
