Turbo started to sound wierd!?!?!

Hi guys, i got a question. I have a stock s13 motor, front mount, super sequencial bov, and a full exhaust except the manifold. Everything was good, but then when my turbo spooled up it makes more of an ssssss sound and the bov isnt as loud as it was... Please help...

For the record you are in the united states...the stock S13 motor is the KA24DE.

The stock s13 SILVIA motor is an SR20 ...so which engine is it??

Dang, your turbo started to go pssssssssssss? It's gone, can't even sell it as a paper weight. But I would gladly take it.

My s13 sr with a new s15 turbo was running great for the first 30 minits I drove it the 1st 2nd and 3rd time I drove it. I go 2 start my car this afternoon and its stumbles bad then I turn it off then restart it. Then it idles fine then it sounds like compresser surge threw the intake at idle!When I rev it everything sounds fine! Im new to turbos so please HELP!!!

that's happens when people race to much... just kidding.

the ssssssss sound is loud because is a smaller turbo which is t25 and the smaller it is the quicker it spool. so is normal. the bigger turbo it is the less noise you will hear, but will get blown by topend. so your bov isn't working and then your vacuum line is probably leak or broke.

Just got a new s15 turbo again! NOW It was fine for a few days now its making this pdpdpdpdpdpdpddpdpd sound on boost and its not pulling like it has bad shaft play and its geting worse! DID I GET A BAD TURBO???!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are ways to find out if u have a bad turbo. i could be wrong, correct me.

1. if your car have white smoke out from your exhaust there are chance a blown turbo. (most of time is a bad gasket)

2. take out the turbo and spin the blade to see if spinning freely. if not, there are sign like the blade is scratching the housing or not spinning it should be. is a bad turbo.

3. if u flow it and your turbo max out, no boost, and making funky noisy... your turbo is gone bye bye...

4. u can rebuilt the s15 bb. i'm not sure whats the cost to rebuilt, but i rather spent that money to get a better turbo. unless u got people can hook u up.

good luck bro. i'm worry about mine too. is a hks gt2510 bb, and u cannot rebuilt it. once is done...is done.
