well guys, cruising at the lakefront tonite i was going a modest 25mph, when a black spec V pulls up next to me and begins goign faster, so naturally i get on it a bit to keep pace. Well by the time we hit 4omph i hear a spool!! his tires immediately light up. Well we pull over to find out he imports motors for a living and is driving / breaking in a customers car. Well he has a fully built block, everything was done to the motor possible except new camshafts (12k worth of motor mods!). And the motor is running a t-o4 turbo and putting out almost 4oowhp, but went to the track and couldnt get out of 13.1s. The track was really crappy that night, and most people were more than .7 off of their best times. Anyway, it was fun to see him slaughter a couple turbo GSRs and even an SR powered 24o!, go QR!!, best of all he said he wanted to do it to an Altima, so i ask'd if he wanted to do it to mine and he said he'd give me a 24o to drive for the time my car was gone, of course this would be for a few month, and all i would have to pay for is gas and insurance. This probably wouldnt happen, but it was fun just to share

I have herd talk of the turbo kit for the Spec V about $3K on a group buy. Then I also herd that the person selling them was behind on getting some parts to people. So who knows. The kit that I have seen was only pushing about 250whp though and was on a mostly stock QR.

The Spec V should have been turbo'ed from the factory. I would be driving one now, if that had happened.

well this was a fully built motor and had 4oowhp+with Noproblems, one flywheel snap and that was it he said. Also, he didnt want me to pay to turbo my car, he was going to build the motor and sponsor me (his shop paying for the work and such)

depends on whic hway u look at it, i will be without a car for quite some time, however he'll give me a junker 24o or something for the time being. He may have to ship the car to shows and such, again, leaving me without my car. However for him to biuld my block and possilby change the tranny, he can have it

haha, thanks for the heads up guys, i know, this is mostly just dreaming, i seriously doubt it will happen, just thought id mention it. I think ill keep my altima for atleast another year and sell her and get a 24o (i hate to 'downgrade' to a 24o, but i can't afford a 35o or spec V)

Yeah I know who that car is. It is a guy named Dion that owns it and Travis with Forced Induction Racing did the work on it. Anyhow Dion is from Canada though. That car is quite a piece of work needless to say. You don't want to know how much money in it though and as nlzmo400r already stated it is a fully built motor. It has the turbo and all the internals redone in that car and is running on a standalone system. If I were to take a gander they are well in the 10K-15K range in mods easily but I foresee this car in a mag shortly.

nope :( sorry guys, i dont have a digi camera, but u can trust me that im not lying, OneFastStanza just described the car, and yes Dion is from Ontario canada. There is 12k invested in engine mods alone so far and the car doesnt even have the 'throttle by wire' anymore, since they went with the Stand alone, they had to put in a throttle cable. I think the car is amazing, but i dont like the euro tails :yuck
