i am looking for a new turbo. i have high HP goals in mind, and i want somethign that can support my dreams, and hopefuly have halfway decent spool times.

a little info on my setup: sheet metal intake mani with Q45 TB, peakboost exhaust mani and downpipe, tial 44mm wastegate, jim wolf s4 cams, z32 maf, enthalpy rom, 72lb injectors, walbro 255hp, and other bolt on type stuff.

previously i ran a precision SC61 turbo, with log manifold, and the point where it hit full boost was about 4000-4500, which is fine for me. i would like to stay around that range to get full boost.

now here is the turbo i have in mid to go on the new setup. a garrett t3/t04r "the big kahuna" or sometimes called t3/t67 i believe. ( http://store.yahoo.com/cheaptu....html )

i am wondering how different this turbo will react with the new parts i am getting. the tubular manifold should help decrease lag some. anyone have experiance with this turbo on an sr?

What's your goal? You're only using 72lb injectors and didn't mention anything about ignition upgrades so I'm guessing not too high...

That turbo will max out your setup before it's done making power.

yeah, i was also checking out that turbo. i was trying to decide between the 2. what difernce do you think there would be in spool times and such?

as far as ignition upgrades i will probobly go with the splitfire ignition set.

Jesus, surge city.

Why don't you just use the SC61, you aren't making it's full potential if you have 72# injectors, and for that size of a turbo you aren't going to do much better on spool.
