TURBO SHAFT PLAY.

im thinking of purchasing a 90-91 300zx TT....the owner put turbos from a j-spec engine on it and he says they have minimal shaft play, like normal used turbos would have.....is it true that turbos get shaft play eventually? how long do they have left to last? how much are they to rebuild?

I just bought a new T25 for my SR20DET in my 240 and it had a little bit of shaft play. a little up and down/side to side, is normal, in and out is bad. You dont have much to worry about, just stay at stock boost. its not expensive to rebuild them either
