I just finished helping to install a turbo kit. I suggest if you dont even know what peices you need you just buy a kit. It will have all the small pieces like oil line fittings. And all the parts will match.

there is only one kit made for the ka24e...otherwise i would buy a kit. i don't want to buy the ONLY kit made for my engine, i want it done my way.

well youre in for some fun first off, but if you really have no clue what you would need just email the company that offers the kit and ask them what is included in it :D Otherwise you can use ace hardware to source some of the smaller fittings for the oil line , Earls has the oil lines you would need, you need a turbo manifold, a wastegate if your turbo isnt internally wastegated, downpipe and possibly pipe and flanges to make a custom cat if the downpipe doesnt line up with your cat, larger injectors i think CA18DET 370cc's fit, some type of fuel management like SAFC. mandrel bend and straight piping for the IC, belted hose as couplers, FMIC, silicone hose transitions to connect your piping to the turbo outlets and the throttle body if they arent the same size, BOV with flange of same material as the IC piping, oil pan tap kit for the return, High flow fuel pump, boost gauge, mebbe oil pressure gauge, turbo intake, exhaust manifold gasket, turbo flange gasket, wastegate gasket, and probably more I cant think of right now. Is that what you were looking for?

Best bet is to buy all the large things now, and then the smaller parts as you figure out exactly what you need. All the IC piping you will kinda have to fit piece by piece but injectors, turbo, manifold, ic, downpipe, fuel pump can all be bought ahead of time easily. I dont know for sure what size the T you will use to tap into the oil check valve is so you will either have to buy a bunch from ace and test them or find someone who does know.

well i decided to buy the t3/t4 turbo kit from http://www.realnissan.com for $2700. it comes with external wastegate and all the pipes and oil stuff. all i need is pump, injectors and ic with piping. i am looking at spearco but don't know what size to get. also, what size injectors fit the ka24e. i will most likely upgrade the turbo in a couple years, so i should get bigger injectors now and use a FPR, right? also pump, i should get one that handles what i want. my goal for now is running 10 psi with stock internals. that should be good, right? but my main goal is to run 25 psi. i will do internals [obviously] but for now 10 psi and get used to how to drive a turbo. i have never drove turob nevermind rear wheel drive. so i want to get more feeling and know a lot about the engine and car before i go all out. also, i am going to get standalone instead of getting my ecu tuned everytime i upgrade...and so my friends envy me...hehe:D

so, to summerize...i am buying standalone and the turbo kit this summer, and i need to know what pump and injectors will be good for my upgrade to 25 psi next summer [hopefully!]

dude....25psi? uhhh. no offense, but for somebody that doesnt even know what parts you need you want to run 25psi?

people that turbo their car so their 'friends will envy them' are the same kind of people that boost 25 psi and blow stuff up. And you want to to this on a sohc?

i don't think you read it all...i said...i want to run 10 psi this summer...then learn about the turbo feelings and how to drive it, in what conditions, and how to launch one...THEN i said NEXT FRIGGEN SUMMER i want 25 psi...i am a fast learner when i have it in front of me. all i wanted was help...not be told that i will blow up my engine. so what size injectors and pump should i get?i didn't say i wanted to run 25 psi tomorrow...i want to learn about turbos more before i jump into that much boost. 10 pounds of boost is going to be my learning stage. then i will get into the big boost...and yes all on a SOHC. i don't see a problem with that. there will be a lot of tuning, yes. there will be a lot of pricey mods, yes. but i bought this car for the engine...not to go and swap. and IF my engine blows or siezes, the ka24e engine is VERY easy to find and VERY cheap.

Yeah, i read it. If you have deep pockets you can do it, but thats an *** of power. I dont even know if a built KA will run 25psi for long, maybe so.

Im sorry for coming off as a ****, but if you are really serious about making your way to 25 psi, you cant have ppl hold your hand through every step like this thread. You gotta get your hands dirty and do some research.

Here's a good list of stuff you'll need:http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yele....html

I used this same 'guide' to turbo my prelude. If i learned one thing from my experience, it'd have to be gauges, gauges gauges., buy them and love them. they can save a motor. I was a couple days away from getting an oil pressure gauge when my pump when out and killed my motor AND turbo. I was only runin 5 psi.

I hope you have a dyno nearby. you're gonna need it.

Well for your current goal of 10 PSI you should talk to MovingViolation about his 370cc injectors, then maybe buy an AFC to control them. Size of the IC isnt so important as long as you are willing to cut up your bumper to make it fit.

With 370cc's you'll probably be running near 80-85% duty cycle to pump enough fuel (if you're running stock pressure) and that's not good.

You'll probably want to get a custom rail and some msd's, probably atleast 52lbs, but if you're going to be boosting that high (25psi is not really necessary, especially if you don't know what you're doing) but for a lot of boost you'll need BIG injectors. If you run standalone you may be able to trim them down to idle acceptably.

Heya SRP, welcome to NICO. Running 25 psi is a great goal, i'm building a KA to run 30+. Your probably going to have to research about alternative fueling like alcohol injection. I ran 28 psi on a stock block RB20DET. Everyone said i was crazy...well i was, but i was also silly fast.

Fuel and management are going to be your key, I'd also recommend a big cam. Your going to want to port and polish your I/H/E as well. If you keep the rpm's down the valvetrain should hold up. You might want to go ahead and swap it out when you upgrade your cam.

Going with the SOHC is cool. Not to many people build a monster KA24E. I'll be glad to help you out with further details if you need. Your going to need some deep pockets. The cool thing about KA's is you can make them go boom all day and just swap out the motor for a couple hundred bucks.

Best of luck and happy boostin...

WD
