Turbo Seal ??

Is it possible to visually inspect a turbo off of the engine to see if turbo seal is hooped?

Look at the turbo for oily residue. You will usually find it on the compressor side of the housing. Look at the fins and the inlet/outlet. If you find oil, most likely a seal is going. Also check the axial play (in and out, not up and down). If you are getting axial play, your turbo needs rebuilt/replaced.
