My friend and I began removal of the turbo through during this procedure we have decided to replace other parts that might give us problems in the future.

we plan on replacing the water pump and thermostat.

We also decided to remove the A/C system.

Heres my question: When we remove all lines and components from the a/c system does it matter if we leave the plugs unplugged??? will they cause any side affects??

thanks for the help

No side affects 'most likely.' Though if you find that your idle spikes up to about 2500 RPM's at most times, try and clip the light blue wire going inbetween the 3rd and 4th cylinder. Its on a 4 prong connector. Though before you cut it, just try disconnecting the connector first.

I only can get the specs for the S14 SR20DET thermostat and waterpump. I know the waterpump will probably be similer, the thermostat housing is your call as to whether you want to trust the numbers or not.

Thermostat specs: Two bolts holding thermostat housing onto the block (12-15 ftlbs), 3 bolts holding the water inlet to thermostat housing (2.7-3.7 ftlbs, apply liquid gasket).

Water pump bolts: 12-15 ftlbs, apply liquid gasket

Water pump pulley nuts: 4.6-6.1 ftlbs
