I just took my turbo to be rebuilt this week. I found a place on the internet that just happened to be local to me. (http://www.turboparts.info/pages/620208/index.htm)

In any case, the owner is actually only doing this on the side now and has retired after being in the business for many years. He is very helpful and friendly. In his initial inspection, he felt the turbo was rebuildable. He was going to expedite the order and have it back to me within a day, but after he tore it down, it apparently needed pretty much all new parts. I only dropped off the CHRA, and after all was said and done, I got a brand new CHRA. Since he had to source the parts, it took an extra day, but considering, that's pretty damned good. Of course if you are not local, you will have to consider shipping time. And to do this, it only cost me about $50 more than to rebuild. He was very good about calling me with updates as well. I had left 2 compressor housings with him as well in case he needed to match a compressor wheel(I have two that have a 90 degree elbow welded onto it with slightly different trims) and the one he matched came back cleaned up very well. Considering the insides were bathed in oil, this was really nice. Though I dirtied it up a bit during the install. Anyone looking for a rebuild or a new turbo may try giving him a call.
