hey guys.. I've thinking about to either turbo/ or SR my car for a long time.. in the end I chose turbo cuz I realized SR is too troublesome in installation and emission is getting stricter. (I live in CA)

But of course, I have to make sure my engine is healthy enought to withstand the power ..

My KA is 95000 miles.. I wouldn't say I been driving it with care.. The engine runs fine except if you push real hard then u will smell burning oil..I assume it's normal (happens on my friend's car as well)

I think I will go with Greddy cuz it's under 3000. How long should I expect the installation to be? I been reading posts and most ppl recommend to get an IC.. Which intercooler on the market that will work with the GReddy the best?

I am sorry if I sound like I don't know anything.. I just like to drive and I am not too interested in mechanics stuff :)

Thanks

burning oil isn't normal. Mine has 170k on it and doesn't burn oil, and I drive it like I stole it.The greddy intercooler would probably work best with the greddy kit. since its designed for it.check your compression first.

yeah i was fixing to add that too. burning oil is NOT normal. my car has 113k along with the motor and not one thing wrong with it. do a leak down test. and yeah the greddy intercooler kit would probably be best to use with the greddy turbo kit.

if youre "not too interested in mechanics stuff," you shouldnt be turboing the KA... really.

A pre-programmed and setup-up-for-turbo engine would probabaly be better for you then. (SR/CA)
