Anything is possible if you got enough money.

Searching might help you understand the details of this topic. Of course any turbo will work, but there are many many more mods that need to be done to make it work and work well. There are about 3 or 4 topics floating around, most of your questions can be answered there.

Yeah... expect to shell out about $5k because there'll be alot of custom fab work and modifications needed. In all honesty, if you have interest in installing a turbo on your car, the V is probably not the best ride to own. Has anyone seen those turbos that mount to your exhaust pipe near the muffler and run forced air all the way back to the intake? I saw something about those a couple of years ago but they must have been crap because you don't see them around.

for the amount of custom and fab work you`d have to do to get that to fit, you could have bought a 350z ........you should wait for a versa turbo/ supercharger kit to come out.... or try and turbo your lawnmower or something, lol

I think they marketed more to the domestic muscle car market. There would be a lot of turbo lag due to the length of piping. With a Camaro or better, the lag would not be as much of a problem as they would be with a smaller engine.

Like others, it'll cost a fortune to do since you would need custom piping and have to figure out where to place the turbo and clearance issues. There are a lot of small details to work out. You are better off waiting for a kit, but if you really want and have the money, go for it.

So I've always had a question about turbos guess since its been brought up i can ask hehe.. Ok if you have a turbo in your car (like a couple of those little racers Speed3 & Evo & other assorted cars) and they get simi poor mpg. Haven't they ever thought to develope a computer controlled waste gate that when you have a button turned on in the car the turbo will spool and create boost but otherwise it just freeflows air like you have a normal engine with no hop. Thus A. making it be super stealthy since until you push the button the hp will be the norm for the car. B. it will save you tons of gas and you will be happy all day not burning tons of gas till you actually need it.. and C. saves the turbo since its not constantly "working" to create boost but instead is just like a blowby valve? Or has this already been done failed and never thought of again..?

well, realistically, you don't have to drive in boost. in most turbo cars, boost won't kick in til around 3000+ RPMs (unless you have a setup that will spool at lower RPMs). the Versa actually has a decent compression ratio to drive around out of boost without sacrficing too much acceleration. it's really all about how you drive and how well you keep the lead off your foot. i owned a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion, which had about a 7:1 or 8:1 compression ratio, and it was still decent out of boost. i won't lie tho. boost is VERY addictive lol
