What is the best turbo for drifting? I need a fast spooling turbocharger so that i could make the wheels spin while im on my side. Im thinking of just getting a S15 turbo but i want more power and a faster spoolin turbo. Any suggestions? Thanks!

SCC article on the disco potatoe makes me think it would be great for drifting. It won't provide the most power, but dang does it spool fast. I know it is similiar o the s15 turbo also.

Hows the HKS GT2503 or the Apexi B70? Have any of you guys have one of these turbos?

you don't need a turbo to drift, you can drift with a NA engine

You can't drift with a N/A, its physically impossible.

Maybe some turbos are better for drifting then others. You would get that impression if you read the earlier posts.

I hope he is kidding......

I got a S15 T28 cause its a stock turbo and ball bearing, so it will spool pretty fricken quick, good for drift and autoX. Not the best turbo out there, but one of the best bang for the buck ball bearing turbos there is.

My N/A honda won't drift, so it is my conclusion is that I need a turbo if I want to do some drifts.:)

lol, I know you are kidding now. You can't drift in a FWD car. Trust me, just try drifting in your 240, it WILL work (if you got l33t skillz like me)

I have to agree with Willy here. I mean, look at HachiRoku's.. you can't drift one of those, no matter how much you try. It's probably because they put down so much power.

:rolleyes

if anyone cares, I have been to Forced Performance and got to hang out in their shop for about 4 hours while my friend's car was being tuned. I got to look at all of their stuff and it all looked really nice. Their turbo room was NICE, I was drooling the whole time...

Have any of you guys heard of the TRusT 517Z turbo with 10cm turbine? I was just curious because i was reading it off the new Modified Mag (June2003). For those who drift you guys should get this magazine it features a whole bunch of drifting info and tech.
