50trim should do the trick with a .63 exhaust housing.

Search people!!!Look at other peoples setups and base it on that. And an hx40 on an rb20 will be zero fun. An hx35 will get you at 400 easy with bigger injectors, a tune, and some cams to get that beast going.

An hx40 is too much for a 20. Look around for Cjmart on here, he's a holset whiz and runs a full hx40 on his 25 and says it spools in the upper 4's, it would be much greater on an rb20. Nuff said

^ i spent at least 8 hours searching.... didnt find any good info, just bits and pieces. trim here, trim there, ar here, price there, hks here, ebay there, dyno here, blown turbo there, bigger injectors here, crank through the block there..... but nothing specific. and no solid numbers of any sort.

x2 on HX35 being able to get you there and a lot more.

BTW, my HX40 spools in the high 3000's, not 4000's 1 bar by 3.6-3.7k, 1.5 bar by under 4k. It's to big for a 20 though unless it's a straight strip car.

i ended up paying $240 for it. came off a rb20 putting down 380ish at the wheels at 12psi. turbo has 1200miles on it and no shaft play what so ever. now i need me 5 bolt o2 housing and external waste gate

Lol thats my bad man. Sorry for the false info. I was locked into the reply board and didnt wanna get out to go find the right number you are the holset whiz and who got me into them.

Holset hx35 or even the hy35 will get you to 350 easily, the hy35 is smaller and will get you there quicker, while the hx35 leaves you more room for power later on. Either way is great. Good luck

If you use a hx35 on a stock rb20 do you need to change anything?
