Hey, so i just recently bought a skyline gts-t with an rb25det swap. Im starting to mod it, and i want to throw a boost controller in it. What is a comftorable PSI to run on, on stock internals? there is also a small front mount intercooler, hks intake on the engine. Also whats better, automatic or manual boost controller?

DO NOT get a manual boost controller. they are prone to spike psi. get a electronic one. but before you throw more boost at any car you should really research what your doing. you may end up with a rod through your block

honestly i wouldnt up the boost. get full bolt ons and see how it runs. do things like 3inch exhaust, bigger intercooler(dont go to big) better radiator. things like that. tune the car and u can get good hp numbers

On a stock turbined RB25, don't run more than 14.7psi. The ceramic exhaust wheels tend to explode on prolonged runs of high boost. If you set it at about 14psi, you'd be good to go. 14.7psi is the same as 1.0kg (1 bar) of boost.

Not sure what stock internals will hold on a 25DET, but when I had my C33 Laurel with RB20DET, I was running 14psi with an HKS EVC I boost controller, single-dual-single front pipe, 3.25" RS*R Invidia exhaust and M's Super Air intake. I was hitting about 240 on the dyno with over 100KM on the engine. I enjoyed that car A LOT. I miss it from time to time, but happy with my upgrade.
