i have a freshly built ka24de with ross pistons, crower rods, arp studs, & cometic head gasket. i bought the iap stage 2 turbo kit installed it. car will run but will not idle. i have the walbro fp, jwt ecu, and the 300zx maf all hooked up. greddy profec II boost controller is hooked up. i can fire the engine up but as soon as i touch the throttle just the slightest bit the engine cuts off. i need some serious help. i've been fighting this for about a month now and not being able to drive my car is making me nuts. thanks for any help or suggestions.

I saw this happen once before and the problem was with the maf wiring the sheilding on two of the wires was scraped causing them to short each other and the ecu didn't get a good reading. Hope that helps you.

The IAP stage 2 kit comes with a JWT ECU. No need for him to have to tune anything.

Was the JWT tuned to run a 300ZX MAF?

is this a s13 or s14? check your ignition wires. I remember having 1 ignition wire slightly loose and it would cause my engine to drop RPM as soon as i tough the throttle.

if thats not the case, check your MAF wiring and what are your AFR's? if the JWT doesnt make your AFR's good at idle (common thing), you may need a SAFC to tune it.

Also, how much oil did you put in? never put in too much oil as this may cause your engine to not revv. (happened to me before)

had a mechanic come over last night. we unplugged the 300zx maf and plugged in the stock maf. no change. we hooked up the modis diagnostic computer and the injectors are off the chart. dumping mad fuel into the chambers. i have already fouled out 2 sets of plugs. the mechanic checked my timing thinking that was the issue, timing is dead on. worked on the car for about 3 hrs. and still the engine is still doing the same thing as before. i am open to any suggestions. i'm leaving no stone unturned so any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Double-check your fuel pressure at idle, IIRC it should be around 34 PSI or so. Just rule that out as a source of your excessive fuel...

Good luck.

Check your cam timing as well. I had mine off by one tooth once and it did exactly what you are describing...

Make sure the injector o-rings aren't leaking either, but it doesn't sound to be the case.

Cam timing could be it. Check your oil for gas. I had aleakign injector which kille dmy engine... You may not have a leaking ijector but if it's pouring mad gas, then you probably got some in there. Maybe TPS?
