Well I am getting ready to build a KA24DET, I drive a 92 240sx. Before I install the turbo, I am looking to spend about 1000 bucks on prepping the engine for turbo, the engine has 178,000 km on it. My main goal right now is to build it to make 200+ hp, I know thats not really a big goal but for now thats what I want. I have been doing research about it but I would just like some input from you guys also to know what I should be doing first before I install the turbo setup so my engine can handle it without a problem.

if you pull the motor yourself and do some tearing down you could have it rebuilt with just forged pistons for $1000 maybe

otherwise for your goals a stock engine will be perfect. compression/leakdown test yours first. if the results are not good then get a better motor
