Does anybody know where would be a good place to get the piping bend for the turbo, or better yet where can i buy the piping bent already?

Thanks

Turbo piping or intercooler piping? For the turbo all you really need is a downpipe which are easy to find. Greddy is what I used. As for intercooler piping Greddy is working on a 240 application right now. We couldn't find anyone here so we found a place on internet that would pre-bend the pipes if you sent in general measurements and angles that you needed. I think we had to cut 1 or 2 inches off a couple of pipes before they got welded, but they fit in perfectly. That probably doesn't help you much, but i tried. :pface

If it's going to be a while you may want to check out the Greddy site for whatever I/C piping they are going to offer. As for the place that I got mine, give me a day and I'll look up the name of the company and website.

You can also order prebent pipes from jcwhitney.com2.5" aluminized piping is about 8 bucks a bendI used 3 90 degrees, 3 45's, and 2 u bends and had plenty to do intercooler and downpipe.

Yeah, I'll be going with some prebent pipes from jcwhitney when I turbo my KA in about a month. I'm just going to cut the bends and weld the pipes together myself. Jcwhitney was the cheapest I found for pre-bent mandrel bends.

Magnaflow also sells Mandrel bends. Their website lists their dealers. You can call some of the ones close to you to see if they would do any of this kind of work for you. Be weary though, many may not do this type of work very often.

What did everyone use for downpipes and manifolds for that matter?

I'm replacing my manifold and downpipe and was looking at buying the ones from F-max...any negative experience or rumors with the F-max exhaust?

Saw them...they lied...their manifold isn't ready and I don't want to wait. If I could, I would, because it looks like they do high quality work.

oh yeah and that's not a direct fit now you will have to do some cutting. And unlike me i suggest you have something better than a hack saw. That was over 3 months ago and my forearm still hurts.

Go to Burns Stainless. The have all of the mandrel U, J, L bends you will need to plumb your intercooler. Aluminum, Stainless, Iconel, Titanium, etc. All you need is a bandsaw and the knowhow to weld the material of your choice (or a good friend with a TIG).
