I cant seem to find anybody who has turbo'd a pickup with a KA.... So i am doing it, I have got all the parts rounded up and ready to build the header. I have been getting some bad feedback from some people about the Ka.. I want your personal feedback, I dont want he said she said.. I am running a t3 t4 hybrid that will support 530HP. I am making everything to make this work!! I just want to know, Am I going to have problems (pistons, rings, head gaskets you know what im sayin) I only plan on running 6lbs boost for the time being... Just want to know the weak links or things to look out for.....

THANKS A BUNCH, Broke turbo pickup guy :)

thats pretty cool thanks, but i wish i could get some up close shots of those trucks... It would be nice to have something to atleast go on... I hate trying to build things kinda blind.

There's a guy on http://www.4x4parts.com named JPVM who turboed his hardbody. He has since pulled that and dropped in an Isuzu v6, but he would be able to answer any questions you have.

ITS DONE AND RUNNING!!!!! Running only 41/2 5 lbs but it hauls ***... Smokes the tires off through first then the clutch slips like crazy in second, so its time to get a centerforce.. That didnt take long and i'm already fixing stuff :)

****UPDATE**** The rings are on there way out, I have severe crankcase pressure, enough to blow the dipstick out and blow oil all over!!!!! DAMNIT, Now i need to build the bottom end.. Its kinda funny everyone says the rings are junk but damn I only got 500 boosted miles out of it :(

Did a compression check and all is good exept #2 it only has 80lbs, so i squirted some oil down the cylinder and it stayed right at 80. I am beginning to think it is just a headgasket i hope. what do you guy's think?

that is wierd only 500miles boosted anyways nice truck its good to see something different every now and then, im not sure what the problem is but u should get some forged pistons from KA24DE.COM a good price, and upgrade the fuel system, clutch and crank the boost! I know that costs money but if u can afford it, think of the end result! it sould be easier to work on than a 240 because of all that room in the engine bay.

Wow man that is pimp, i really like your wheels. Ok now that i switched to that subject, what kind are they? What size, offset, etc.. because they look like they would tuck nicely (better with 4x4 fenders). My brother has a bagged hardbody, and he is in deep search for wheels. Are they modified chevy styles?

colorado custom?

btw. again very nice truck.

oh no i cant give away my wheel secret's :) I searched long and hard for those baby's.. Nawww just kidding there eagle 219s 18x7 i think (its been awhile) 5 1/2 backspace... If you want them to tuck just bag it they wont hit (to much) :) I am going to bag it this year or next.. Plus its going to get a custom paint job, as soon as i figure out what i want to do
