Turbo Package Questions

This is my first post, I am not new to the forum, as I have been reading it for about 3 months now, just registered now, and I am not new to the 240sx, i've owned mine for about 3 years now. So I can assure you I wont ask any newbie questions that I can find by pressing search....

Anyway.. I am planning on getting the Black Top S13 SR20DET Swap in about 4-5 months, probably from dauntless, and I have started planning out my mods. I have been very interested in two different turbo kits...

one being the CTC Motorsports kit, and the other being the Enjuku Racing kit.

I am leaning towards the CTC motorsports kit because it seems it can support the levels of power I would like to achieve. I would just like to know some of your guys' thoughts on the different kits, are they worth it, do you have any experience with them, etc....

Both kits look great, give me your suggestions.

Honestly, if your looking for an upgrade kit, and your going to get a motor from afterdark, your best option would be to speak with Adam about that when getting the motor, and he will be able to get the setup you require/desire. the CTC kit is a pieced together kit, as is the enjuku kit, t, or if Adam sells the Afterdark kit, it is all a custom kit, and can be put together to your custom specifications.....speak to adam about your goals, if u go with him for the motor, he'll put help u decide on turbo etc. OR you can contact me or Eloy, and we can help you put together a turbo kit to fit your goals.

Some of my goals........

-A turbo that spools fully before or shortly after 4000 RPM-Can Handle up to 500-550 HP-Does need need insane amounts of boost to reach that level

Im thinking a t3/t04 hybrid type turbocharger....

-A manifold that can take a beating-A good BOV, sound is not a factor-Wastegate... perhaps a tial?-All other necessary parts.-A FMIC that can handle that boost and power, yet not too big that it loses power.

can this be done, can you name off a few parts?I will probably end up going with Daunttless on this one, if I get the engine from him, it would be a hell of a lot easier to get the kit with him as well. Thanks for any more help

Hello, NEWBIE here, first post on this forum. Anyway, I looked into both of these kits when I was looking for an upgrade, and the Enjuku kit is probably the better kit of the two. First of all, the dump pipe on the waste gate is routed back to the exhaust, not to the atmosphere like the CTC kit. Secondly, the Enjuku kit is $400 cheaper. Also, I saw Ken with Enjuku run an 11.93 with his S13 and their turbo kit. BTW, he was getting ~2.4 60' times! As far as I know that motor is stock internally down to the headgasket! It has a FMIC and fuel system upgrade, etc. But, DAMN. Me personally, I ordered a Tomei ARMS kit, but Tomei couldn't deliver it (as some of you may have heard) and instead i'm going with a custom GT25 based ball bearing turbo. If Enjuku or CTC had a ball bearing option, I would have bought one of those instead just for simplicity. That's my 2 cents.
