I did a compression test the other day. What I ended up with was this#1, 145#2, 150#3, 150#4, 150

Do you think it is safe to turbo it or should I rebuild it first. The motor is ka24dewith 186k miles on it. Still runs strong. No leaks etc.

Of course you can say that sence it's not your motor. If it were my motor, I would rebuild first. That way you're not worried about blowing it up. You will feel safer and confident to push the motor harder after you rebuild it. IDK what the compression should be on a DE but my SOHC gets 190 psi. 243XXXmi. If they are suppost to be the same I would say your rings aren't up to the task of boost.

Well it depends homey, I bet if you did compression on the SOHC when its cold you'd get 150 across the board too. 180 to 190 is when shes warmed up. And either way about blowing up the block.

Ka blocks are cheap, I would turbo this one get a spare one and rebuild while having fun with the stock one and learning on it. Instead of learning on a rebuild block and possibly ****ing it up.
