if you search you will find answers to both. popular consensus tends to point in the direction of turboing a ka because its a less expensive and easier way to reach your power goals. everything you need is here, just search for it!

First you need to plan out what you are going to use the car for (daily driver, weekend racer, autox or straight line, etc) and then start doing research on what will benefit you more.

After hanging around here for a while you will get a good idea as to what you want to do, it probably will take a while though. First I wanted to build an NA KA, then I wanted to swap in an RB25, but now I am leaning toward KA-T (which hopefully will come through sometime around Christmas.)

It really depends on what you want to do with the car how much money you have to spend.. and how good you are at working on cars. Start crawling the forums and reading up on NA and on turboing the ka.. or on engine swaps. It takes time to learn.

going all motor is a waste really... i went all motor b4 i went turbo. FULL bolt-ons (intake, header, exhaust, 91 cams, aluminum flywheel, lightweight pulley, electric fan conversion, clutch) and all i could pull at the track was consistent low 15's (15.0-15.2) all day. all motor is GREAT for daily driving. u can beat the **** out of the motor and not worry. TURBO on the other hand is a different feeling. if you are up the the maintanence of owning a turbo car and have the extra $$ go ahead and piece together your own turbo kit!

NA build up cost me almost as much as my turbo setup.

edit: nobody is going to be able to read your mind, find out exactly what you want, and translate that into a list of parts with prices for you. you are going to have to do the research. if youre not willing to put in the time to understand what you need and how to get it, why do you think that anyone else here could help you?

theres a billion threads out there for you to read, i dont even plan on going ka-t and ive read a lot of them just because i like to understand how it works, what people are experiencing, etc...

youre not going to get anything decent for under $2000. keep in mind youre going to have to do supplemental work in addition to just the turbo to make everything work right and be able to USE the power your engine will make.
