Hey guys,

I'm considering starting a 300zx project to go along with the 240sx.Quick question....If there is a stock '90 300zx with the non-turbo motor, if I were to buy a twinturbo motor for it, are there any modifications that are needed? If so, what?

yeah, you should ask in the Z32 forum, they would know more seeing as they drive that car.

there are some modifications that you will need to do. ITs not a plug and play thing. I dont know all the stuff but my friend did it and he just had two cars a tt and na. That is the way to do it or you will have a lot of problems.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna look into that ASAP. It would be great if it WAS plug in play.

This is a very common question. In my opinion you'd be better off just buying a TT but that hasn't stopped a lot of people. If you do the swap you will want a front clip as more is needed than just the TT motor. A complete list of components can be found through search. Best of luck and keep us posted.

I see what you're saying. Thanks for the advice. ....Basically I was just thinking about buying a shell in good condition for $2k and then buying the TT engine. I knew there'd be some modification, but just wondering how much, and the exact steps. Right now I have a 240sx project in the making, and was thinking about doing a 300zx (sense that was my original intention). But here now I know far more about the 240sx than the 300zx. Thanks.
