Turbo or no turbo

Ok well i just recently got my first mod on my car which is a muffler with custom piping and now im like all hooked on other mods now for my car(not trying to sound like retard). My next mod is to get injen intake but i have been seriously thinking about turboing my Ka next summer with 125K on but next summer should have 150K and my car is a automatic. But my plans are to get about 280 to wheels. Ive had alot of people say get 5spd but i just dont have money and might have to go threw alot of **** , then some people say go right ahead and turbo auto shouldnt be that bad. I should have about 4500 maybe 5000 by next summer to start turbo project. But i would like for some of you people to give me your opinion on what should i do. And dont flame me :icesangel :help

you wont need 5000 for 280whp if you are a decent mechanic or can scrounge up some parts

for that amount of money you could put down some big numbers. cut that number in half and do it yourself and you could have the numbers you are looking at easy!

If your motor's in good shape and you can live with the auto, then go for it. Your budget sounds good for 280 hp (10-12 psi?).

An auto is fine, my first Skyline was auto, I could eat any other 5sp with similer mods. You can launch at full boost for christ sakes, or install a stall converter.

As far as 300 or close to goes, you won't have to do anything aside from install a turbo and get some fuel and ignition tuning done. I could put you into 300whp for about 3000. And thats a reliable safe tune.
