turbo options/alternative?

My turbo on my engine set is shot bad seal on the compressor side so i'm in the market for a replacement maybe even upgrade... bad part is i haven't even swapped the motor yet.... owell 3 days of looking at turbos and i really like the gt2871R but its pretty pricey.. trying to find an alternatvie turbo that can push 350 with minimal lag and pull to redline without the price tag

was wondering if there are other options like using a t3/04e that has the t2 flange and water cooled that can be placed in the stock location?

Reason why im asking is garrett t3/04e are not as pricey and great turbos and no problems making power.. just want one that can be positioned in the stock location with minor fabrication..
