OP, put $500 into your transmission and then turbo it. Get a higher stall speed converter for it, and a shift kit if it is available, and also the oil coolers as stated above and that transmission will last a lot longer and shift alot harder. Auto turbo is great for drag racing applications. Might get boring on the street if you dont beef up the trans though.

Five speed swaps on 240's are the easiest in the market. I've done old '80s BMW auto-to-stick and that was a nightmare... besides what makes you think the 4-speed is going to handle 300whp? you will need a beef-up and and then you are out a couple of grand.... I'm just sayin'
i love the Automatic hate that you put off. hahaha. Fail.

Good point on the stall/shift kit. i'm pretty sure no one makes an upgraded stall or a shift kit for a s13 automatic. i would be interested in seeing if anyone does make any of that stuff. I know it's damn near impossible to BUY a shift kit for a supra automatic you have to send it to a company and have them build it for you. i think 250whp shouldn't blow up the auto if it has a good cooler and a gauge to make sure your not over heating it. that's as long as the clutches/sprags aren't complete junk. and even if he does blow the trans a used auto can be had for almost nothing.
