Alright guys, im pissed. I have bought 80 different size adapters from home depot trying to get one to fit in that hole the feeds oil to the turbo. Im trying to run lines for my new turbo so i can get this motor started but im not getting far and this is the only thing stopping me. So what size is the hole on the block that feeds oil to the turbo? Its the little hole coming off the block under the manifold right behind the P/S and A/C.

Come on guys!! i need this! Lol. Anyone who has run custom oil lines should know what size it is. Its just the oil feed port on your block. If i dont get it by tonight i may just weld it shut and run a line from the oil sending unit but someone has to know what size this port is.

I'd guess its about a 10mm diameter thread, but I'm sure its a pipe fitting... wish I could tell you exactly what the size is...

I honestly don't know either, I'be always jsut bought kits because it's easier than trying to work out whay bits you need LOL.

It *might* be the same as the brakes which is M10 x 1, I don't think it's a tapered pipe fitting.IIRC the 90deg thing in the block has a convex seating/sealing face at the bottom of the thread.

Well, after a turbo manifold and A/C removal... i got that little port out of the block. So now i can take it to home depot and get the size measured then just get something to go directly into the block. Thanks for you help guys!

yep there is a restrictor in it, not sure what size it is but I know it's less than 2mm because I've heard of some people talking about drilling them out to 2mm. A stupid idea.

Well i got a 1/8 pipe plug to thread into the block but the port that I took out of it expanded in size as it got closer to the bend. But, i sent my dad out to Fastenol (sp?) which is a HUGE plumbing company to get me a custom connector for it. My dad also said the thread on the female end of the port should be 1/4" machine thread but who knows, dont quote me on that. When i get the connector and all hooked up ill let yall know.

Well they didnt :). I think im just going to keep that plug in there and weld it on and get a little piece for the oil sending unit if i have enough stainless line.... damnit this sucks. Anyone know what size fitting i need to do that caus i dont know much about sending from out there.

Well i changed my mind... I just ordered a few fittings from MC Master and im hoping it will be all dandy when they come in. Im going to have a straight plug come out from the block to the feed line and i ordered a piece to connect the feed to the return so i can run the thing N/A until my new turbo comes in caus the one i have bolted on right now is to rusted to twist the center bearing housing so i can fit my hard line ( the return flange is 1" from the strut tower). So, when i finally get all my lines done ill let you guys know exactly what i did.

Alright ladies, MC Master is the best company ever :). All fittings came next day. Now, heres the deal, to hook up to that oil feed, i bought a 1/8 bspt fitting and took that other thing out of the block. It fits perfectly and im not going to compain anymore. After i get one piece from home depot tommarow, and pray that napa has my belts im going to crank this monster. If anyone has any other questions about the oil lines, ill be glad to listen :)

Can you sum up what the various fitting sizes were i.e. on block/turbo just so its all in one place?

Well the turbo fittings are dependent on your turbo/flange threadings. I have a 1/4 npt inlet and a 1/2 npt outlet. For those who have the stock rubber hose coming from the oil pan for the return, i used a 1/2 barbed hose fitting. A lot of this can be gotten from home depot but most came from anplumbing.com which took a couple weeks for my order to go through for some reason. Anyways, i used hardline for the return because it gets hot as hell and the stainless braided poly line can tend to melt at REALLY high temps. But other than that just remember that the block is 1/8 BSPT thread.

1/8 BSPT is the size of the thread going into the block correct? Not that little block on the block, but the motor block itself. I snapped mine off in the block today and need a way to fix it.

Did you get it fixed? I hope you put teflon tape on all your connections because that stuff is under high pressure and you definatly dont want a leak :)

Lol i dont have one... which is probly why my turbo messed up in the first place, now you can get any type of plastic ring to stick in there that will restric oil flow but i gotta find something because my turbo is getting hooked back up, tommarow.
