so, I'm putting my stock turbo back on after some issues with my T28, and I'm having some troubles with my oil line. First of all, its in the turbo, and the manifold is on tight, and I'm trying to get it into the block. It fits into the fitting, but it won't screw in properly at all. Its almost like the bolt is too small for the fitting on the block. I have done the line before probably 2-3 times but this time its different. I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions. The bolt that goes into the block goes up and down and isn't tight on the line. Is that normal? When its inside the fitting on the block it spins freely and won't catch the threads.

If you guys have no idea, then do you guys know where to get a stainless braided oil feed line for the ca18det? Thanks...

So the banjo bolt goes into the block all the way, fully seating against the hardline's endpiece?

I had to pry on the hard line to get the fitting to line up so it could screw in.

But it is screwed all the way in now and tight? You did remember to put the copper crush washers on both sides of the hard line banjo end right?

loosen the line at the turbo to take the pressure off the hard line. This should make it easier to thread the block bolt in. I hope you have not crossthreaded it

Yea, loosen the turbo banjo bolt up. I had the same thing happen. I thought I had cross-threaded it, but it turned out the line was bent so that it wouldn't thread in.

I was going to ask you if you got that turbo yet, and how it worked out for you. But from this post and the one on SON I guess you got and the whore isn't treating you nicely.

Like the others said, loosen the oil feed on the top of the turbo. I had the same problem you have and it was fixed when it had a little more slack in the line.
