So I'm finally getting around to putting all my turbo stuff back on, and within 5 minutes I ran into a pretty big problem. The threaded oil feed hole on the turbo is 5/16, whereas my JGS oil feed line ends in 4/16. What I need is an adapter with male 5/16 inverted flare on one end and a female 4/16 inverted flare on the other end. I'm on the phone with McMaster-Carr right now because I figured they would have it, but the lady said she would call me back if she found it.

Other info: JGS t25/t28 oil line kit with an ebay t28 turbo. The oil restrictor is what is too small to fit into the feed hole on the turbo.

I know this is a really specific part, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to find this part or has had this problem before.

Thanks

Bump

The oil inlet thread is indeed 5/16. If I can find a restrictor with 5/16 male on one side and whatever the JGS line's thread male on the other side, I'll be golden.

McMaster-Carr never called me back and I've hit up all the hydraulic and plumbing places around, no one can help me. Pleaseee fellow KA-T members, don't let me down!

Ok, if I understand this correctly you need an adapter that goes from the pressure line to the restrictor? If this is correct take the line and the adapter to Ace hardware and they will give you what you need. If you can bring the turbo, do so.

I have never left Ace disappointed. If you don't Ace then try the local hardware store...anywhere that has someone competant to help.

It's cool, I got it figured out. Ace was actually the first place I went, but they didn't have what I needed. The problem everywhere I went was the inverted flare...no one had a 5/16 male to 1/4 female adapter with an inverted flare.

I took it to a hydraulic fitting place today and they took a normal fitting and machined an inverted flare onto it.

I'll be back to KA-T as soon as I get my oil pan tapped!

Which JGS oil feed and drain line kits did you go with? I know the feed comes in 36" and 48", and the drain is 18" and 24". I just don't want to buy one or the other and a ton of slack in the lines.

I believe I have the 36" and 18" version. The return line was plenty long but I'm retarded and cut it, the feed line is BARELY long enough. I say go with the longer set. The return line can be cut to length and you can use the extra slack in the feed line.

was in the same bout as you, here's what i did, i went to advanced auto parts, and bought a brake line adapter, it was one of those brake line things where there was about a foot of brake line and it wend from i think 5/16 to 7/16, or like 1/4 to somethign else or something, just bring the turbo, and the oil feed with u, its there, trust me and its also great for keeping the actual braided line away from the manifold (my first meleted on the insed and pushed the molted rubber out, and started spewing oil) get a brake line bender for like 10 bux, and u can do a nice a** setup!!!
